A lass all alone,
Being left on her own
For her fate crafted this way,
leaving in sorrow and dismay.
Being left on her own
For her fate crafted this way,
leaving in sorrow and dismay.
Bereft of emotion and love
Her eyes had seen enough
No care anywhere 'round
To heal her bleeding wound.
Despised of her own being
She left everyone, unseen
Not that anyone cared for a glance
Lonely and weak, she advanced on her trance
She met more odds that darkened her saddened face
Until a brave-heart took her in his warm embrace
A heart full of love, which meant no harm
Took her in the shelter of his long slender arm
Her smile became his joy, her anguish became his tear
He filled her heart with only love, driving away all fear
The solitary lass was never again left alone
To wander around, wounded, all on her own.
Very nice poem dear. Keep up with good writing.
